These Scouts often have been to day camp and are ready for their first overnight summer camp experience but may not be comfortable being away from a parent. Family camp is the next step in preparing Cub Scouts for longer overnight camping.

Arrow Of Light Camp

These Scouts are now ready for their first overnight summer camp experience without a parent but with their den and den leader. Belzer Day Camp (6th through 8th grades)

6th through 8th grades: This track is fun, educational and open to all youth entering the sixth through eighth grades. Activities and programs vary from week to week based on rotating themes*.  Each week will focus on getting out of the classroom and learning by doing activities and programs that have been specially designed to be fun and interesting to this age group. Campers that are members of Scouts BSA will be able to earn merit badges.

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. This six-day course is patterned after a month in the life of a unit. Content is delivered in a group and team outdoor setting with an emphasis on immediate application of learning in a fun environment. NYLT will be offered at three different times during the year. A spring and fall course will each be held over two weekends at Camp Kikthawenund and a week long summer course is held at Camp Krietenstein.

Finanical Assistance - Camperships

Finances should never be a reason for a Scout not to attend camp. Crossroads of America Council offers a Campership program where recipients can be awarded up to 50% of the early summer camp fee.
